About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our busy IT Operations Team. You play a key role enabling effective technology change and operational stability across the business.
In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, wider IT team, and third‑party vendors to ensure solutions are well understood, fit for purpose, and add measurable business value, across both project initiatives and business as usual support & enhancements.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Gather, analyse and document business & technical requirements through workshops, interviews and structured analysis
Undertake defect analysis and root cause investigation, including reviewing data flows, integrations and third‑party services
Partner with external vendors to clarify requirements, validate solutions and support delivery outcomes
Support solution design, development, testing (including UAT), implementation and provide post implementation support.
Promote strong business analysis practices, quality outputs and continuous improvement
About you
You are a technically capable Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, improving how systems and processes work, and delivering solutions that are genuinely fit for purpose. Alongside your technical capability, you bring strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate and communicate confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
You are proactive, solutions focused, and customer centric, with the ability to build trusted relationships quickly and drive continuous improvement in a fastmoving environment.
Attributes that may help you succeed in the role:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline desirable
3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment (technical experience preferred)
Strong technical aptitude, including exposure to integrations, APIs/web services or SQL
Experience working with third‑party vendors or outsourced delivery partners
Ability to translate technical complexity into clear, practical outcomes
Experience in insurance or financial services desirable
A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
